Light and shadow, a flourishing of signs, images that acquire immediate plasticity, works always supported by an enviable harmony which is then an interior fact. The artist does not describe, rather interprets in an exceptional way the emotions of the heart.
For the activity of an engraver Biennials and various prizes are events in which people always participate with great enthusiasm. It is not just a question of putting ourselves to the test, but of transforming these events into an opportunity to find ourselves and share our experiences. In these meetings, many people discuss this ancient art and exchange secrets, alchemical recipes, emotions and results obtained in artistic printing workshops.

Lolita Donatella Coli was born in Ortonovo (Italy) and graduated from the Art School of Carrara in 1973. She attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Carrara and specialized in scenography. Since 2002 she has been approaching engraving and graduating with full marks, with a dissertation entitled “Inextricable mazes - G.B. Piranesi and its mighty palaces” in which she managed to highlight, in an absolutely innovative way, the dark and scenographic side of this admirable artist. Her love for the nature led to pursue visual research on the world around, defining her style as "Magical Realism".
